My tray set is a cup and a bowl. You can drink out of the cup and eat out of the bowl. The idea just came to me while i was working. My process consisted of creating the bowl and the cup out of a bowl for the bowl then made the cup by myself. The. i added the stars and the sun on then i pushed holes into the bottom of the cup to create the moon. Then I glazed the bowl and the cup with blue and i made the stars and the moon yellow then made the moon gray.
1. I see and sunset on a beach. There is an orange, red, purple, part that is made of glitter and yarn. 2. This peice reflects upons the art form by showing where the horizon is. No one knows how far is goes but yet it's beautiful. 3. The artist is trying to say that the unknown can be beautiful even if it could be scary. I think the artist is trying to say this because life is much like the horizon, unknown. The artist was every happy when she made this so it showed a peice of her life that was being okay with not knowing what's out there. The work was created in this style to show the bright parts of life with the glitter and the yarn shows that life can be tangled and confusing. 4. This art was very important because it showed that being lost or confused can be happy and you can be okay with not knowing and still enjoy the things you do know. 1. What is art? Art is the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power. 2.Illustration Fridays have been completed almost every week this semester, do you feel this assignment helped you brainstorm for main project or helped you skill levels in any way? Why, or why not? I do feel like this assignment helped me and shown me that you can take anything and turn it into art. It also really helped my skills and shown me how to draw more things. 3. Pick any warm-up from your sketchbook that you found beneficial, interesting or simply felt you handled well. Describe the activity and reason for selecting it above the others. Include photo.
I found the first warm up we ever did the most beneficial because it showed value. i think it helped my art a lot and was a foundation skill and i really needed. In the activity we drew a sphere and shaded it using values and then used different techniques to make three different gradients. I selected it above all other because i really like how it turn out. Since my last post, i have fired the peice and glazed it but i used the wrong glaze so now my piece is ruined but it's still cool. I might still be able to paint it but it's probably not going to work out.
I do like how the decorations came out on my peice. i think they are pretty cool. If if i had to change one thing i would change the glaze. i didn't meant to put the clear glaze on. I lost the pic of my peice in progress when i got my new phone. yikes my b.
I plan to go paint my peice red white and blue like the nationals colors, my favorite team. I plan to finish it by putting on a baseball on the side because i think it will make it look better. I also have to add the clips on the lid so it will stay in place. I found ti really difficult to make the sides of the box to stay up. It was really hard to get the decorations to stay on. I had to reattach them a lot. So far i find that making the decorations wet as i score and slip them that it will stay on the box. I had to slab the sides of the box for it to be flat and stay strong. I have to scratch and slip the decorations and the sides of my box and i find that really hard. I hope to put my peice in the fire soon. My piece shows the idea of lines because the beta fish is in front of seaweed that i made from lines. I really liked the design of my piece but if i had to go back i would change some of the things. Some of the parts of my peice were very small and hard to cut out this made my peice not as successful. My project started off as a joke but turned into something cool and i think if i spent more time on it, it would be better.
I used perspective one i think. i really don't know this above my skill level. I picked pencil because I thought it would be easier. I took this picture outside of the art room. i chose this picture because it looked cool. I found everything difficult about this project. i really don't know how to do any of this. i'm sorry i'm not an artist.
I used 5 different mediums for my piece. I used tissue paper, markers, glitter, sand, and yarn. My word was outdoors and i chose to portray a beach. My favorite place outdoors is the beach so that's why i did it.
I picked colored pencils to be my medium because i really loves the way the colors popped. i also think that because i used color pencils the drawing looks more fun and bright. I also love how easy it is to use the pencils and how it can be light or dark.
I added an eye ball and a candy together to make my piece. i call it "eye candy". i loved the name and it just clicked together in my head. I went through a lot of different ideas and then it took a while to actually chose eye candy. i then had to draw it and i went through a long process of choosing which candy to use. once i picked the lollipop i couldn't figure out how to make the swirls. i did a pencil draft then colored it in with colored pencils to make the final piece. |
